Overview

Page-level controls live on the floating action panel at the top right of the viewer, on the toolbar, and on a few keyboard shortcuts. They cover removing a page from the export, rotating a page, and getting an overview when a document is large.

Remove a page from the export

Press X or click the floating Remove page button to leave the current page out of the saved PDF. The page is simply absent from the export, and your original file is untouched. Press X again to bring it back into the export.

Removed pages are not redacted. They are skipped. If the page contains anything you also do not want present in the source file, save your redacted copy under a new name and treat the original as the file you keep.

Rotate a sideways or upside-down page

Some pages, such as a wide landscape schedule or an upside-down scan, open at the wrong angle. Use the three rotate controls on the page action float to turn the page upright: rotate left 90 degrees, rotate right 90 degrees (or press F), or rotate 180 degrees. The page image, the red match boxes, and the selectable text all rotate together, so everything stays lined up, and the selectable text refreshes to the new angle so drag-select follows what you see. Rotating re-runs detection on that page and adds to what is already marked: the matches you had stay put, anything new the re-scan finds is added, and a short note tells you how many were kept and added. That holds on pages with text in two directions, such as a fax page with a right-side-up header over an upside-down body. Rotating covers both directions without losing either. If a rotation marks something you do not want, click that match off or delete it like any other. Rotation is one of the fixes for scanned documents that detect poorly.

Jump to a page

Use the page dropdown in the toolbar to jump straight to any page number.

Thumbnail panel

Click Thumbnails in the toolbar to open a side panel of small page previews for quick navigation through a long document.

Bird's-eye page grid

When you zoom far out, the viewer switches to a grid of all pages at once so you can see the whole document. Zoom back in to return to the normal single-page view.

Resize the sidebar

Drag the divider between the sidebar and the document to make the sidebar wider or narrower, and Lex Cloak remembers the width next time.
